Busy Sunday!

Neglected!

Yep, school started again. :( The past two weeks I have worked til at least 7:00, most night I was there until 7:30. I barely see my babies. And when I am home I am so tired I just want to sleep. I want summer back! 175 school days til summer!

Giraffe

We watched a story the other day about a giraffe who couldn't walk so a vet fit him with prosthertics. This morning out giraffe couldn't run. Mommy came to the rescue!

Summer

It's hard to believe that summer is almost over. We have had a great summer, filled with TONS of fun! We have be blessed with beautiful weather, although it has been really hot. We have had fun with family and friends. We played at the pool, took swim lessons, went to the zoo twice, got a new car, rode horses, watched fireworks twice, played outside, played at parks all over Frederick, painted, grew grass in our front yard, went to Deep Creek, Harpers Ferry, and Green Brier Lake! And we spent our last weekend eating crabs and shopping! We have been busy!

Zoo #2!

Yesterday we went to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. I won tickets from FiND iT FREDERiCK Magazine and Woman About Town. Can't beat free tickets to the zoo!

but still made me happy to hear Addy sing to Em this morning when she woke up crying!

"Good Night baby, I don't really have time for this!"

Throwing Plates!

Em throw her plate across the table just now (that's the natural thing to do when you are 16 months old and finished eating, right!?!) and Addy said "Mom, I didn't know she could throw that far. Did you?"

Doctors!

Addyson was pretending to be a doctor to her dog today while this converstion happened:

Me: "Addy, please throw away your juice box if you are finished."

Addy: "Mom, I'm a doctor and doctors are too busy to throw away their own trash."

Me: {laughing} "Really?"

Addy: "Yeah, Mom. Aren't they really busy?!? Can they throw away their own trash?"

Me: {still laughing} "Yes, they can throw away their own trash!"

Zoo!

We surprised Addy and Em with a trip to the zoo yesterday!

We took the Metro downtown. And it is much different being the parent. I remember as a kid loving the Metro. I loved the flashing lights telling you the train was coming, all the people, how fast the train went, being underground, all of it...I loved it! As a parent I hated it. So much to think about and keep track off!
