She was probably glad that I was having a photo shoot with her!!!! shhh..that's tomorrow!

Shhhhh! I'm getting a speedlight too!!!

I saw an e-mail from B&H that said my speedlight had shipped....hmmm....I didn't order a speedlight....I guess my hints really worked!!

Okay you don't really need to be quiet because I felt bad and had to tell Garth that I saw the e-mail. Can you believe that he actually kept the secret...and I went and ruined it!?!?!?

He is going to bring it home from work tonight so that I can play with it...I already ruined the surprise so now I need to get my hands on it!!!!!!

I am lovin all of this equipment....Nikon D50, 18-55mm lens, 55mm 1.8 lens, 70-300mm f4-f5.6 lens, and a SB-600 speedlight!

Now I need people to take pictures of...hint! hint! I am liking this hint thing...it seems to be working for me!

I plan on taking my beautiful new lens and taking pictures of RiRi and KiKi playing soccer!! (I could stand and the top of the field and still get good pictures with that lens! I heart it!)

I was right!!!

I don't mean to gloat but I was right!

I guess Garth couldn't keep the secret because he blurted out "ican'tholditinanymoreiboughtyouyournewlens!!"

For all of you who don't understand that long run on sentence all you need to know is I am getting a new lens! A 70-300mm zoom lens to be exact! I guess the hints worked! I will be sure to post pictures of the new lens (it is beautiful) and look out UPS man I. am. stalking. you.

I also bought myself a present yesterday...a new blanket! It's not for our house but it is to use as a prop/backdrop for pictures. It was a steal! I was originally $75 and I got it for $12!!!! Gotta love a sale!

No Presents!

In case you were wondering Addy didn't get any presents on Monday...can you believe it!?!?!?

But I think Mommy might be getting some soon...her photography wish list is getting longer and I think Daddy has been checking it out (okay...I sent him the link today with a hint attached!)

Do you think I might be getting a present soon?

The weather is going to be amazing this weekend and we are all feeling bettter so...watch out for pictures!

Snuffy-Snots-A-Lot (mommy's version) or Snuffy-Snot-Rockets (daddy's version) is Addy's new nickname!

Can you figure out why we might be calling her that?!?!?!?!?

No, I haven't lost my camera nor did I break it! I still have that wonderful "ulcer in the eye...good thing you didn't loss vision" (is that what I called it before?)!

Sick Baby, Mommy and Daddy!

Oh the fun! First Daddy gets a sinus infection on Friday and I get sick on Friday with a "ulcer in your cornea....good thing there is no vision loss!" and now poor Addy Mac is sick...again.

We took Addy to the doctor this morning and the doctor said she has a fever, pink eye and upper respiratory infection. Which is a good thing since when I called this morning to speak to the on call doctor they were "concerned" because her soft spot was bulging...which can means infection and swelling in the brain. I am very very very happy with the diagnoses we got...I can handle an upper respiratory infection!!!!!

I had to go to the eye doctor Friday, Saturday, Sunday and I go back today to make sure that "ulcer in your cornea...good thing there is no vision loss" is healing. Let's pray that it is healed because I have seen way too much of the eye doctor. The eye doctor is a once-every-two-years-kind of doctor....not a once-everyday kind of doctor!

It has been a long week in our house. Oh wait....it's only Tuesday....it is going to be a long week!

We'll take it...there are much worse things that we could be dealing with.

We are truly thankful that we are happy, well feed, clothed, in a warm home, healthy, minus the ulcer.pinkeye.fever.upperrespirtoaryinfection.sinusinfection, (that's a long list) and blessed!

There are times when things like the shooting at Virgina Tech really put your own life in to perspective.

We are blessed and need to remember that and be thankful!

Presents, Presents and More Presents!

These past two Mondays Daddy has come home with presents for Addy!

Photography Blog!!!

I have a photography blog!!

I hope to really start to taking more and more pictures of Little Miss AddyMac (insert Addy rolling her eyes..."more pictures of me"....not possible) So, I do take a lot of pictures of Addy, I guess what I really want to start doing is taking pictures of other children...interested? Let me know!

Practice makes perfect...right? Okay, truth be told...at this point I don't care about perfect let's just start at better! Sounds good, right?....practice makes better!!!
