I think today might be the first day that Addy has really needed a bath! Of course I give her a bath every night but there usually isn't much visable dirt to wash off...just all those invisible germs! Tonight was a different story she needed a bath!

We went outside after dinner tonight and Addy was playing in Jordan's flower pots and having lots of fun. Not only was she playing in the flower pots moving dirt from one container to another but she was also kneeling in wet mud left from Jordan watering his plants!

The result was Addy's first dirty knees!

I wish I had my real camera to take a better picture. She looked so cute with muddy knees and hands!

The Park

Garth and Mimi love to take Addy to the park and the germaphobe in me finds parks kind of gross :(

I went to a shower in PA on Sunday {that's a story for another post!} and Mimi and Garth took Addy to our church picnic. A few picnic table head butts later, and a few "this must be your grandson" comments later they packed up and headed to the park. They went to a park that Mimi takes the kids to all the time so they know Addy would love it and well Garth loved it too! So on Monday Garth wanted to take Addy back and thought I might enjoy this park.

No amount of beautiful shaded park, awesome blue wrap slides, cool bridges to run over, ladders to climb, tennis courts to watch, acres of grass to run in or covered pavilions can stop me from thinking about the dirt! The thought never, and I mean never left my brain! Needless to say I still don't like parks but Addy had fun!

Luckily for my daughter she has two people in her life who will always take her to the park...her Mimi and her Daddy!

I'm going to let the park be there thing! ;)

Addyson loves to look at cows when we are driving! Every time we drive anywhere we have to look for cows. We often take longer routes home just so we can maybe pass a field filled with at least one cow.

Today was a good day...we passed a field filled with lots of cows, we were able to pull off and watch the cows, we even got to roll down the window and the cherry on top...I took pictures {even if they were taken on Garth's camera phone}!

Ear Infection

That's what they tell us.

My baby was up for 3 and a half hours last night {from 2:30-6:00} not crying, not complaining, just not sleeping. She didn't play at Little Gym, at all. She slept for 3 hours this afternoon. Before dinner tonight all she ate all day was 10 fruit snacks, 10 thats it.

All because of an ear infection.

We don't like ear infections!

Chicken Pox?

{picture taken on the Mac}

Do you see them, on her chin...two little red dots?
Maybe try clicking on the picture to enlarge.
Do you see them now?

Sunday out of no where Addy got these two red dots on her chin. I had just come downstairs and Garth couldn't remember something important he wanted to tell me and I looked at Addy and asked what happened to her chin. That's when it dawned on Garth...that important thing...yeah...he thought she might have chicken pox. Fun! Riley and Kennedy both had chicken pox and it would only make sense that Addy would get them...immunization and all! We called my mom and the doctor and they both told us just to wait and see {something I'm not good at}. I left for work on Monday before she got up and when Garth got her up the spots looked better so off he went to Mimi's. When he got there Mimi sent him home {or to the doctor before she could come back to stay!} So I came home after a half day and off we went. When we got to the doctor they made us stand in the foyer and walked us in the back door. The doctor looked at Addy for maybe 2 minutes and declared "Not chicken pox! It's a rash, a non-descript skin eruption."

Nice! Well take's better than chicken pox...I think! ;)

Terri, She's ready!

My mom bought Addy a life jacket yesterday. When she got up from her nap she wanted nothing to do with the thing but it has snaps and snaps make Addy melt :) She spent a long time snapping, signing and yelling "mor-mor" {translation: more}, and snapping some more. We really wanted her to like the life jacket so this summer she wont mind putting it on everyday when we go to Terri's pool! Every time she even remotely thought, looked or put her arm near the arm hole of the jacket we clapped and Garth and I each tried putting the jacket on. Finally, after dinner Addy decided she would put the jacket on! She walked around for a good five minutes pushing her baby in her stroller and saying "jacket".

Addyson is ready for the pool!

We are embracing the snapshots of life (hug)!

Addy had her first {and second and third;)} ride on the Merry-Go-Round this weekend!

Needless to say Addy liked the Merry-Go-Round and it was $4.50 well spent! :)

Yep, we have another Starbucksaholic in our family!

I try to make many trips to Starbucks a week. {I <3 Starbucks!} Sometimes I don't get there at all during the work week but every Saturday after we go to Little Gym we walk over to Starbucks. Garth and I get to enjoy a coffee and a yummy treat and Addy gets some varation of a blueberry muffin and a sippy of water {we used to get black bottom cupcakes. We <3ed black bottom cupcakes!}

Tonight we went to dinner at California Tortilla and after a trip the the bike store I went to get a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Garth and Addy were walking around talking, touching and looking at the whole store. I went to get one of those coffee sleeve things and handed one to Addy to play with. When I gave it to here she stared saying "wa-wa" {translation: water} so we gave her her water and put the sleeve around it. She walked out of Starbucks happy as can be. She walked all the way to the car smiling, and holding her "starbucks." I think she loves Starbucks as much as I do...she is sure to be a Starbucksaholic like me!

Cutest Baby in DC!

Yep, I entered Addy in the HOT 99.5 cutest baby in dc contest. She is one of 1900 entered and certainly the cutest. The polls are open, for round one, until tomorrow. We find out on Monday if Addy is in the top 50.

{click to enlarge}

I think I see 5 grand in our future!!!

You can't tell from the screen shoot that I did but there are 14 Addysons in the contest. Not a single one is spelled the same as Addy. Most the versions are Addison but there was one "stranger" than Addyson...Addisyn :)

Happy Mother's Day!

This is my second Mother's Day and it was much better than last year, but of couse we all are sick. Last year both Garth and I had strep throat {if you remember his was worse than mine:)} It wouldn't be a holiday in our house without someone being sick.

I think we just have a cold that we keep passing back and forth. It first started with Addy and her normal 102 degree fever, runny nose, cough, etc. One doctors trip and it just sun burn that caused her fever {insert me crying hysterically...I put sun screen on her and I felt like a horrible mom for the sun burn} and two days later Garth took her back and she had the beginning of a sinus infection and an ear infection and ALLERGIES {the doctor laughed when Garth told her the other doctor thought the fever was from sun burn...that made me feel better}! We now have to give her Zrytec every night. She passed me the cold, I passed it back to her, she passed it to Garth, and Garth passed it to me! We had a family meeting last night and I told everyone that we are to stop passing the cold around...I'm done with sickness. Addy shook her head and said "nes!" {translation: yes!} Garth nodded, I think! So there...we all more cold!

Sickness and all it still was a great day. Garth got up a few minutes before me and came downstairs to get breakfast started. He got Addy up and sent me back to bed for a few minutes. They came upstairs with cards from Addy and Buncha Crunch {yummy}! We came downstairs and Garth made pancakes and nanny bacon while Addy and I played.

He cut the pancakes into hearts! :)

And he remembered that I love {yes, puffy heart love} crushed ice! :)
I think I'll keep him ;)

We had a yummy breakfast!

We lounged around until we went to Beth's house for a Mother's Day celebration. We came home and Addy napped and Garth went grocery shopping for the week! When he got home we got Addy up and he made steak and potatoes for dinner. We played and watched America funniest Home Videos {Addy watched all the babies and dogs} until bed time.

It was a great day and I am truly blessed with an amazing family!

That describes our life and Addy these days!

Friday night we went to La Paz with friends from work

and to take engagnement pictures of Sheena + Bart

and we had ice cream and Addy choked on cookie dough.

Saturday we went to Little Gym

and to the petting zoo with RiRi and Mimi

and to lunch

and to downtown Frederick for dinner with Uncle Grant

and back in the car because everywhere had a two hour wait

and ended up at Houllanhs (sp?).

Add some work, naps, outside playtime and that's been our life lately!
