6 Months Old!

Addy had her 6 month old check up today and her stats are...
15 pounds 9 ounces (30%)
27 inches long (75%-90%)

"long and lean!" is what the nurse said.

She is getting so big...she was 7 pounds 10 ounces and 21 and 1/4 inches long at birth.

She had gained almost 8 pounds and has grown almost 7 inches...WOW!

She has changed so much....yet she still looks the same!! :)

First Day

Yesterday Garth worked from home. So today was my first day as a SAHM!

I'm not really a SAHM but I get to pretend to be one for a few weeks!

I got the dish washer unloaded and reloaded! (Addy was in her high chair) I got the washer loaded and started! (Addy was in her carrier thingy that attaches to my chest) and the wet towels are still sitting in the washer. Instead of moving it I am blogging...I know whats important! I actually have a good reason for blogging instead of moving laundry...I am sitting in the office watching Addy, on the new video monitor, roll around her co-sleeper trying to go to sleep. We really need to work on a schedule!

I have run out of things to look at on the Internet...Photo board {check} The Nest {check} E-mail {check} Blogs {check} Can you tell where I have been sitting while Addy tries to take a nap without me holding her?

I think by the time we figure out how this works it will be time for my stint as a SAHM to end :( I'll do the work....Mimi will get the glory!!!

Happy Father's Day!

Today is Garth's very first Father's Day!

We had a great day! We went to the PGA Tour Grill...yummy! We went to Buy Buy Baby and Addy got lots of new toys. We went to Target and got a video monitor for Addy's room (we are no longer swaddled so the next step is into her room!) We watched "the tour" on T.V. (the whole tour...good thing it's Father's Day). Busy! Busy! Busy!

Garth didn't get any presents today but he did get a HUGE present on Monday...



Yep, a replacement for his car that "died a quick death on I-70"! A much nicer, prettier, air-conditoned replacement!!! He deserves it...since he is such a great husband and Daddy!

Hope everyone had a great day...we sure did!

Almost forgot...Addy is actually "eating" her cereal now! (pictures to come...they are too cute!)

"Checked out"

I am officially done with school...I have been "checked out"!

Addy and I left at 8:30 to go to school. We got to school around 9:20, walked in, showed Addy to a few people, met my principal in my room and 9:30, and I was "checked out" by 9:32.

Part of me wishes the whole process took longer...I packed Addy, her stuff and me in the car and drove an hour to school to only need to be there for 2 minutes!?!?

I asked if I could get "checked out" yesterday, you know I live an hour away and all, but I had to take leave to do that....8 hours of leave for a 2 minute process?

But I really don't care...it is over and I have many (not that many...but I am being optimistic) weeks at home with my baby.

Here is what happened...

Addyson went to sleep last night swaddled, one arm free, on her back. At 12:30 I heard her cry...she had both arms free and was on her back. She didn't wake up, I gave her a binky and she was fine. At 4:30 I heard her stir...she had both arms free and was on her tummy. Yes, she was on her tummy....I was a little scared....but she did fine! She stirred a few times between 4:30 and 6:30 but she didn't wake up...I just gave her binky and she was back out. I woke up more times because I was worried about her sleeping on her tummy.

So....that paper was wrong!

That paper should really retract articles that are wrong!!!! ;)
