Happy Father's Day!
Today is Garth's very first Father's Day!
We had a great day! We went to the PGA Tour Grill...yummy! We went to Buy Buy Baby and Addy got lots of new toys. We went to Target and got a video monitor for Addy's room (we are no longer swaddled so the next step is into her room!) We watched "the tour" on T.V. (the whole tour...good thing it's Father's Day). Busy! Busy! Busy!
Garth didn't get any presents today but he did get a HUGE present on Monday...
Yep, a replacement for his car that "died a quick death on I-70"! A much nicer, prettier, air-conditoned replacement!!! He deserves it...since he is such a great husband and Daddy!
Hope everyone had a great day...we sure did!
Almost forgot...Addy is actually "eating" her cereal now! (pictures to come...they are too cute!)

"Checked out"
I am officially done with school...I have been "checked out"!
Addy and I left at 8:30 to go to school. We got to school around 9:20, walked in, showed Addy to a few people, met my principal in my room and 9:30, and I was "checked out" by 9:32.
Part of me wishes the whole process took longer...I packed Addy, her stuff and me in the car and drove an hour to school to only need to be there for 2 minutes!?!?
I asked if I could get "checked out" yesterday, you know I live an hour away and all, but I had to take leave to do that....8 hours of leave for a 2 minute process?
But I really don't care...it is over and I have many (not that many...but I am being optimistic) weeks at home with my baby.

Did they retract the article?!
Here is what happened...
Addyson went to sleep last night swaddled, one arm free, on her back. At 12:30 I heard her cry...she had both arms free and was on her back. She didn't wake up, I gave her a binky and she was fine. At 4:30 I heard her stir...she had both arms free and was on her tummy. Yes, she was on her tummy....I was a little scared....but she did fine! She stirred a few times between 4:30 and 6:30 but she didn't wake up...I just gave her binky and she was back out. I woke up more times because I was worried about her sleeping on her tummy.
So....that paper was wrong!
That paper should really retract articles that are wrong!!!! ;)

Good Sleeper Turned Bad!
If the Washingt0n P0st (yes, I used 0 instead of o because I don't need anyone to google that paper and find this blog. I don't need anymore attention from readers of that paper!!) was to write an article about Addyson right now it might go something like this....
Good Sleeper Turned Bad

Addyson, 6 months old, was always a good sleeper. That all changed one night in June when she broke her swaddle, rolled over and started playing at 5:30 in the morning.
I am hoping that that paper can write a retraction tomorrow or at least another story Bad Sleeper Turned Good!!!! That is an article I would like to read....stayed tuned!
I hope we aren't saying goodbye to the swaddle. We love the swaddle (at least Garth and I do...I think Addy is changing her mind!)
I only have 1 1/2 days of school left....can you hear me singing yet?

Busy!
We have been busy!
I have been taking a lot of pictures lately but I haven't had time to proof many.

We have done a lot in the last few weeks...lots of walks (Addy's favorite thing to do at night), Addy's 6 month birthday (OH MY!), Addy started sitting up and rolling belly to back and back to belly (all in the same week), first trip to Ally's and Mallory's pool, June birthday party, Cole's baseball game, we watched KiKi and RiRi and Garth's engine "throw a rod" (ummm...basically it died a quick death on I-70) and did I mention walks lots of walks!!!!
3 1/2 days left with kids and 5 days of work left...summer here we come!!!!!!!
